What THEY’RE SAYING
The number one takeaway for me was a lesson in self compassion. I was able to organize my thoughts, acknowledge what was bothering and give myself permission to be happy despite what may be happening around me. I also learned how good I could feel when building a routine around self care. I was seriously buzzing and the happiest I had been in a long time.

Soul Atrium gave me license to feel good. As a guide and leader of people this self compassion will have a direct effect on how I treat others and bring love and joy to my community.

Gentle with myself.
Gentle with others.
And awareness of non-attachment embodied. I know what it feels like in my body to be non attached.
New and deeper connection with 'I'.
An awareness of an embodied sense of hope and inspiration. I am aware, because of feelings in my body, when I am hopeful and inspired.
An embodied awareness of how to locate and establish my boundaries. I feel in my body when boundaries are being approached, or crossed. By this awareness I can choose those boundaries, and establish them as needed.
A new awareness of balance between physical, emotional, intellectual and spirit. And a knowing of how to maintain or return to it.

One of the most impactful experiences of my life. Hard to put it in to words. But I would suggest this to every man. I’m feeling calmer, lighter, and more prepared to live a beautiful life.
Thanks Chad for such a great experience.

From the time I arrived, the soul atrium retreat was a super welcoming and inclusive environment. I had a little insecurity and uncertainty I was dealing with the days leading up to the retreat and had no clue what to expect really. I knew no one attending or anyone prior to the event and was quite worried I wasn’t going to fit in. But the nature of those putting on the retreat (Chad, Bridget, etc) and all the other guys who joined, really made me feel at ease and I was accepted right away. I felt like I was a part of the whole experience and not just an applicant. The food was amazing and every need was met during my time at the Shoreline & Soul Atrium retreat. I 100% believe that anyone can benefit from something like this.

I signed up last minute. I am so glad I did.
Soul Atrium brought together a group of people to support and guide this solid week of rest for 13 men. We were offered space and time to rest, and pull back from the external stimulations surrounding us in every moment of our 'normal' lives. The setting was unique, and ideal. The journey to Tofino is meandering, and raw, and Shoreline provided a warm, safe and welcoming place for rest and feeding the body and the soul. It was a calm and centred place to return to, throughout each day, and we all felt at home.
The presentation of themes through poetry, storytelling, and sharing, brought us to a space where the practices and experiences we were introduced to; breathe work, yoga and movement, sound healing, reflective guided meditations; produced a deep body 'cellular' sensation for me, and awareness at a level I had never imagined feeling or noticing before.
The food also complimented the environment, it served as yet another place to bring awareness. Light, tasty and healthful meals, and ample servings, brought us together for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Each meal was it's own experience to be savoured, and I am so glad to have shared those meals with those people.
I knew enough to have no expectations, and I got something I had never imagined.
I know how it feels to be human now in a way I did not before.
